Toothy Grins Store Offers The Hydro Floss Sulcus Jet Tips
These tips are designed for 5 and 6 mm pockets. They come with special instructions for use.
Basically, you cannot use your Hydro Floss on full power with these special tips.
These tips also have a hard plastic tip on them.
For these reason, I suggest that you consider the Pocket Pal Jet Tips as they are made of a softer plastic.
Poking your gums with the harder tips (which is almost inevitable) is not a lot of fun. But with the softer tips on the Pocket Pal jet tips, there is no such problem.
Both are designed for 5-6 mm pockets.
What Are Pockets
The pockets we refer to here are known as ‘Periodontal Pocket Depths’ your dentist or hygienist can measure them for you.
The measurements should be taken on as many sides of each tooth as possible.
This way you can determine where your trouble spots are.
It is a measurement of the attachment of the gum to the tooth – roughly speaking.
In General terms, you could say that most dental practitioners will say your gums are relatively healthy when all of your pockets are 3mm and below.
Generally speaking – anything above 3mm is considered a problem.
Therefore, you want to get those pocket depths down to 3mm and below, since gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss and the need for a replacement tooth or dentures. The former of which can be quite costly.
To learn more on this topic, it is suggested that you read the books:
What You Should Know About Gum Disease – The Layman’s Guide to Fighting Gum Disease (about 24o pages)
How To Stop Gum Disease In 4 Easy Setps (about 25 pages)
(I have written both of them)
The first book is a paperback and can be found at Toothy Grins Store as well as many other book retail sites.
You can get both books in digital format at https://GingivitisKiller.com for a small fee.
