Incorporating time into your day to make sure you have a little piece of peace in your life is actually pretty easy. You just need to associate your behavior with a set time and/or location. Once you have created a pattern of consistently taking 10 deep breathes every time you walk through your front door, or every time you sit down in your car you can make this so habitual that you never stop doing it. This time, although short, is what meditation is. Meditation in its simplest form is that opportunity to connect with yourself and be centered.

Here are a couple more tips to get you started. If you get a little tired since your eyes are closed, open them and let your very soft gaze rest on something just in front of you. If bodily sensations occur like itchiness or the like just ignore them. If they cannot be ignored then address them and continue where you left off. The path of least resistance is best. And lastly, don’t judge yourself or your results. Your love and patience with yourself will make the biggest difference to your success above anything else you can do.
