Money Controls Everything
It appears that Hamas controlled Palestine is running into money troubles sooner than expected. The problem is banks, even Palestinian banks, fear being held accountable for
‘providing material support’ to Hamas.
The Patriot Act calls for serious action against companies that provide such support. The Arab bank, the main bank the Palestinian government uses, has closed down the government account due to fear of reprisals under the Patriot act.
The fear is legitimate because the moment that Hamas blows something up, the bank is likely to be held accountable for financing them.
So you see, money controls everything. Palestine relies on aid from the outside world. If even Palestinian banks won’t work with the Hamas government, the government could very likely fail. What can they do without a bank to work with?
Some government workers haven’t been paid for over 1 week now. Money controls everything.
Remove the money supply and most organizations will wither and die.
I was just reading an article about marriage counselling. In the article, it was pointed out that both partners must be willing to fix the marriage for counselling to work! Seems a little obvious, doesn’t it?
This is something that has perplexed me for some time, in this country, (US) there is a high divorce rate. It is incredibly high, actually. What does it mean? Why can’t people keep their committments through thick and thin? Selfishness? Lack of Tolerance?
I think it is just far to easy for people to give up and move on and find other partners. This has been sparked more or less by the free love aspect of our culture. Unfortunately, the idea of committment has been overlooked somewhere, downlplayed in our culture.
People have to be a bit stubborn to make it work for the long term. Most relationships run into problems at some point, this is where a little stick-to-itness comes in handy. And this is where people fall short. Whether it be ego, lack of tolerance or selfishness that drives this behavior, it needs to change. There are far too many divorces and single parent kids running around.
If you are married, renew your committment with your partner. If you are not married, consider making that committment and sticking with it for the long term. Be willing to ‘do what it takes’ to make the relationship work.
Iran remains tough on nuclear question.
Iran now has the ability to enrich uranium. – I really don’t know what to say about this. You can leave your comments below.
Good exercise practice today.
It was a sunny, bright and warm day at the park today. Several people showed up for practice. which was really nice. I’m always prepared to practice alone if necessary. But when there are people there to practice with, it is always nice.
Interestingly enough, it was very noisy, but once the exercise starts, you don’t really notice the noise around you quite as much. You are aware of it, but it doesn’t really bother you.
