China’s human rights abuses are by now infamous.
Here is an article giving some very good reasons to boycott the Olympics:
The decision to boycott should not be taken lightly, but neither should the ongoing human rights abuses or support of such abuses by the Chinese government, both in its homeland and abroad (think Darfur).
I don’t have anything against China, but I do have something against the Chinese Communist Party which, for the time being, is running China.
The CCP’s human rights abuses against Falun Gong and other peaceful groups, needs to stop – yesterday… or rather… years ago.
Why should they be permitted to host the Olympic Games, the highest format for sports competition that exists today?
