Wow, I just read an interesting story of persecution against Roman Catholics in China.
You can read the ‘official word’ on persecution in China from the US State Department .
Let’s face it, China is a bad place to be. My heart goes out to the people that are suffering torture and other harsh treatment at the hands of a government that can only be described as ‘evil’.
I find it sad and appalling that the Chinese government hurts so many innocent people who want nothing more than to practice their faiths and beliefs and be left alone to do so.
I feel equally sad for those who want to express their God given right to speak out but are squashed by the communist rulers.
Both China and North Korea have followed the ways of their Russian predecessors, today both countries have an extensive system of labor camps. In Russia they were called Gulags. In China, they are called Lao Gai
Another example of persecution is the story of Falun Gong Practitioners in China – day after day they are brutally persecuted by the Chinese government.
Many have disappeared. No one can find them. It is known that the government took them away. Where are they? No one knows and the Chinese government certainly isn’t admitting to anything.
The persecution methods used by the Chinese government are quite brutal, some of them include shocking with electric batons, beatings, burning with a hot iron or cigarettes. There are many, many more tortures described at Clearwisdom.net You can stop by there and read up on the facts.
Wei JingSheng speaks out about the persecution of religious and qigong groups in China. If you notice, in his speech he talks about the smear campaigns that the communists employ to help them eliminate religious and qigong groups.
Nothing has really changed much in decades. The communists have been persecuting groups like Falun Gong for over 50 years. That does not make it right.
