How many people in this world are imprisoned based on the lies of others?

I just read a story about a woman who was accused of treason after World War II for being, “Tokyo Rose” – a radio personality that tried to demoralize American miliatary men during the war.

It was discovered later that the ‘witnesses’ had been pressured to lie by the prosecutors in the case.

She was released after spending 7 years in jail.

Another incident a read about a while back is a guy who had 14 or 17 years in jail on a rape conviction. DNA evidenced cleared him and he was released from prison.

Horrible. That certainly seems unjust.

Then there was the most definitely unjust and imprisonment of a human rights defender, Charles Lee by the Chinese government.

What about the injustices that YOU have suffered in life or those of someone you know.
