No More Tarter Under the Gumline
“No more tarter under the gumline”, that’s what my hygienist said on July 18th – the date of my last dental check-up and cleaning.
The trip six months before that was all about how I needed a ‘root scaling and planing’ – a process by which they reach under the gumline to scrape tarter and plaque away.
I declined.
And after I did some research, I discovered two things. I didn’t want a root scaling and planing (no matter what) and there was a device that might help called a hydrofloss.
I called my dentist and she actually advised me to get some other product. I stuck to my gums – er guns. I liked what I had read about the hydrofloss and saw some hope.
Hydrofloss had been written up in dental industry journals and it sounded pretty good to me.
When I returned for a dental checkup, both the dentist and hygeinist were delighted with my progress.
They said, “keep it up”.
I think hydrofloss has made ALL the differencefor me. And I’m very glad that I went for it.
