How to Grow

My little secret for personal, professional or any other type of growth you may be interested in is about to be shared.

It’s not really a secret though. Let me give you a clue.

What do little kids do all the time? What did we continue to do as teenagers and young adults but to a lesser extent as we progressively get older?

Hmm, let’s see. The one thing children excel at (if this natural instinct is not squashed by insensitive adults) is:

ASK QUESTIONS

Yes, they ask questions.

When you stop asking questions, you stop growing.

Even more importantly, if you really want to grow, is what kind of questions you ask.

If you want to break free from the normal constraints of everyday life – ask more questions.

It’s when you question the framework in which we exist that you really begin to stretch and grow.

Never mind that silly, “thinking outside the box” cliche. I’m talking about REALLY thinking outside the box.

When you start to question reality as YOU know it is when you start to really grow.

We are born with empty minds. And society, social conditioning and other people impress those empty ‘sheets of paper’ with the ink of their own ideas about what reality is.

But who’s to say any of those ideas are correct?

When we believe something so thoroughly that we no longer question it is when we stagnate and stop growing.

Question the structure of your existence. Question the structure and makeup of the universe we live in. Question everything around you.

When you ask questions, your horizons begin to expand again.

How to grow: Ask an endless stream of questions and seek the answers. Don’t be satisfied with any one answer, let it lead you to more questions, to greater questions.

This is the one aspect of being a human that is actually valuable. The ability to ask questions and therefore GROW.

I wrote this for people who feel like they are in a rut. A person should NEVER feel bored. There is so much to do, so much to learn and it is all right in front of you.

Even if you are somewhere you don’t want to be, work your brain. There are endless things to ponder and think about. Endless. You can think forever. It’s the one ability that you have that happens in a territory that belongs to you.

One word of advice: Keep your thinking going in a positive, upright, morally and ethically uplifting direction.

If you dwell on negative, bad or the morally corrupt thoughts it will take you to dark places. You probably don’t want to go there.

I have one important ( in my opinion) suggestion for expanding your horizons. I suggest that you read the book Zhuan Falun by Li, Hongzhi. Do a search for Zhuan Falun, there are online copies available.

Remember to ask questions, ask questions and ask more questions in life. Question the fabric of society, relationships, existence and everything else, there are some good answers waiting for you.

Also remember to keep it positive, leave the negative out. Leave the negative behind, it can’t help you very much and could possibly be harmful.

Write down 100 questions right now to get yourself started. Asking questions is often times more important than getting answers.
