I read that there was heavy shelling of Hezbollah positions in the early morning today.

Hezbollah is also raining a barrage of projectiles at Israeli towns. According to the news, most people have left the Jewish towns that are getting bombed.

I feel sad for all the people on both sides that have to live under such horrendous conditions?

It is really hard for society and human kind to move forward under such circumstances.

Without stability, the normal activities that move a society forward become difficult. Education, sanitation, open markets and the free flow of information are all impeded under the big thumb of fighting.

People all over the world want to have peace in their lives. Isn’t the pursuit of happiness hard enough under peaceful conditions. Wars and/or fighting devastate lives.

So am I just lamenting the obvious or do I offer any solutions. I just have one to offer.

Otherwise we’ll remain stuck where we are and that is not the best situation for our species.

Of course, the Middle East is not the only part of the world that yearns for peace. I just used that as an example.

I hope human kind, as a whole, will evolve. But right now, it appears that only individuals are able to do so. On the other hand, the whole is made up of the many. In this case, change happens one person at a time.
